When you're ready to bowl, click on the ball and hold down the mouse button. The wiggling arrow shows you how the ball will curve after you release the mouse. Position the ball vertically, the release the mouse button to throw the ball. If you want to NOT throw the ball (after clicking it), simply move the mouse halfway down the lane before releasing the button.
