Poems and Songs about the sea.

HELL O! O! CHAUNTY
This sea shanty comes from William Hope Hodgson's book, The Ghost Pirates, published in 1920.
LEVIATHAN
Milton in his Paradise Lost, printed in 1667, comparing Satan with huge monsters, mentions the sea-serpent of the Norwegians, calling it Leviathan (Book I, verse 192-208).
REQUIEM
By Robert Louis Stevenson. Written as his own epitaph and engraved on a tablet at his grave on Mount Vaea in Samoa.

SEA-SERPENT

This poem -- or story-rhyme -- was written by Mr. George Guyon, Ventnor, Isle of Wight. It wasn't titled, so we gave it one.
